Materials

These are basic materials that need to be prepared before the binding process.

1.  Thread 
   It is advisable to use wax-thread as it will make the stitching process smoothly done.  If the wax-thread cannot be found, the thread can be wax by using candle.  This means that the thread is covered with candle wax.

                       2. Needle

                         The hole must fit the thickness of the thread.

                     3. Cutter

                         Any cutter will do.

                     4. Scissors

                     5. Nail/Ice Breaker

                          This is use to make holes.

              

                     6. Small Hammer

                         This is use together with nail or ice breaker to make holes.

        

                        Besides the above materials use, a ruler and a paper are needed to make measurement of the holes.  A cutting board, cloth (or cotton) and rice gruel (starch glue) can be used at the end of the final product (this is optional). Other materials that actually suitable to be prepared are special papers and soft board to make the cover for the book.

There are as belows:- 

Both above are papers meant to be the top cover of the book.  It will be pasted on the soft board.

This paper is used in between of the cover and the content of the book.   It is like the separator between the cover and the content paper.
